Chapter 9
Line Interface Boards
A line interface board is an external interface of a wire-speed router and implements
the access of interfaces of various rates and types. The board provides one or more
high-speed network interfaces. The ZXR10 ZSR V2 provides various line interface boards
and supports various interface rates and port density to meet the requirements of different
networks and services.
For the types of line interface boards that the ZXR10 ZSR V2 series routers support, refer

The DPIU is a fast-speed interface board, and the PIU and SPIU are common-speed
interface boards. The ZXR10 2800-4 and ZXR10 3800-8 support the combination of
different types of line interface boards.
