TA/V.34 and TA Owner’s Manual
%o0
for ISDN data, and
%o1
for modem (or fax calls
for the TA/V.34) over ISDN. Another possibility is
that your telephone company’s ISDN switch requires a
call appearance number to initiate a “voice” call
(modem, fax, or handset). In this case, you will need to
add to your initialization string the command
*P1=1
(for the connection on DN1, modem or fax by default)
or
*P2=1
(for the connection on DN2, handset by
default). Recheck configuring your TA/V.34 or TA.
Your ISDN connection to your local telephone
company doesn’t support some call types. For example,
the telephone company may have set up your ISDN
service so that it will not allow you to make “voice”
ISDN calls. Alternatively, your telephone company
may have set up your ISDN service so that you may
make or receive only one “voice” call over ISDN at a
time (this would make it impossible to send a fax
while connected on a voice call over the handset, for
example). Check with your telephone company.
