TA/V.34 to match the port speed set in the terminal
application.

“Terminal Settings,” make sure that
Hardware Flow Control
(RTS/CTS)
is
ON

or
YES).
This is necessary in order for V.42bis file
transfers to work.

auto baud detect to OFF
(or
NO
).

“Send init if CD high?”
is
YES

If you are asked to select the “modem type” from a menu, and you
don’t see the TA/V.34 listed by name on the menu, select the
closest name you can find. Some possible examples are:

Zoom ISDN DUO
•
Generic Rockwell Class 1 Fax, 33,600 Data Modem
•
Generic Rockwell Class 2 Fax, 33,600 Data Modem
•
Generic Class 2 Send/Receive Faxmodem
•
33,600 Kbps Modem/Faxmodem
The more specific the type you choose, the more likely that the
software will let you use some of the TA/V.34’s advanced features.
•
If your fax software gives you the option of selecting
Class 1
or
Class 2
fax drivers, select
Class 2
. The ISDN card supports both
standards. However, Class 2 gives more control to the ISDN card,
which generally results in faster fax communications.
