Figure 3-5: Indications on the front panel
Select proper cutting current value according to the thickness of workpiece. The quality cutting
thickness of I-PLAS60 can reach up to 40mm, and the maximum cutting thickness of the machine
can reach up to 60mm. Preset the current at a certain value by turning the cutting current
control knob, and the digital meter will display the corresponding current value.
2T/4T function
It is more convenient for the operator to carry out long-time cutting with this function, and it is
unnecessary for the operator to keep pressing the cutting torch switch all the time, which makes
cutting more comfortable. Operators may either mode according their own requirements.
Specific operation methods:
When cutting small objects, the rocker switch should be turned to "2T" position. At this time, the
machine will begin to work when pressing the cutting torch switch, and will stop working when
releasing the cutting torch switch.
When cutting large objects, the operator can turn the rocker switch to “4T” position. At this time,
the machine will begin to work when pressing the cutting torch switch, and willnot stop working
when releasing the cutting torch switch. When the cutting work is finished and cutting should be
stopped, the operator may press the cutting torch switch and release it. In this way, the machine
will stop working.
3.4 Connection of the work clamp
The work clamp should be connected to the workpiece during cutting.
Note: When using I-PLAS60 together with the cutting bed, grounding can be done through the
cutting bed, and it is unnecessary to use the work clamp. For more details, please refer to the
equipmentinstructions from the cutting bed manufacturer.
