10. Install the lower sleeve unit (along with can sealing and the nut - Fig. 9, pos. 1 + pos. 3 +
pos. 4) and tighten it with the correct end of special key 9312.46.004.0.
11. Install the lower sleeve lock (Fig. 9, pos. 2) using 8 mm flat key.
7.3. The conditions of functional reliability of the pneumatic control systems
Operation safety and durability of the pneumatic system significantly depends on the compressed
air preparation. Compressed air contamination, such as scale, rust, dust and also liquid ingredients
present in air, such as condensed water vapour, may cause serious damages in pneumatic
equipment. These impurities contribute to grinding off the smooth surfaces and sealing elements.
It hinders the correct function of the pneumatic elements and lowers their durability. Switching the
compressor on and off causes pressure fluctuations which adversely impact the system operation.
To eliminate this impact, each pneumatic control system must be equipped with the compressed
air preparation equipment.
Air must be always clean so that not o cause any disruptions or damages. Because every filter also
causes flow resistance, compressed air should be, from an economical point of view, only as clean
as necessary. Compressed air quality is described by the accuracy grades as per ISO 8573-1
standard.
