5.4. Turning the Bag-On-Valve function on and off
Device was equipped with switch which enables to turn Bag-On-Valve function on or off. Switch is
located at front panel and is marked as BOV - NORMAL. After disabling Bag-On-Valve function
device continues to work as a standard Semi-automatic Crimper.
5.5. Crimp parameters and measurements for 1” valves
Following the standard measurements of crimping is a basic requirement for obtaining proper
crimp between the valve and container. The basic crimping parameters are (Fig. 4):
Crimping height (CH) - depends on the contact height (KH) from the container edge,
thickness (J) of the valve seal and thickness of the valve hood (e).
Crimping diameter (CD) - is the distance between two diametric points in the bend
performed by the crimping head. CD is dependent on the thickness of the valve hood (e).

The parameters which are subject to regulation: crimp diameter (CD), crimp height (CH). Constants
(dependent upon the particular geometry of the container or valve) are: contact height (KH),
thickness of the valve (e) and the thickness of the seal upon compression (J). In order to facilitate
crimp parameters adjustment, consider using following instruments [Fig. 5]:
