10.4.4 Networking with ZIEHL-ABEGG ventilation computer and two temperature sensors per stall
In the case of ZIEHL-ABEGG current-version ventilation computers, 2 temperature sensors can be
connected for each cot (one sensor each on
“ E1 ” and on “ E2 ” ).
I.e. only the two supply air temperature sensors are connected to the ALARMcon, all cot temperature
values are transmitted by the cot ventilation computers via the bus interface.
Since the supply air temperature is now measured by the ALARMcon and provided to the network
members, the outdoor temperature sensor previously connected to the
“ Master ” is omitted.
The ventilation computers (of type CTE/AHX-L, PTE-6/10AHQX-L) compare the two temperatures
measured in the cot checking their plausibility. Depending on the temperature difference between the
two sensor values and the duration of time for which this difference exists, an alarm message
“ Sensor
function ” is sent to the ALARMcon via the RS485 MODBUS interface.
The setting of the “ Sensor difference, maximum ” , from which an alarm message is sent, can be set at
the ventilation computer in the menu “ Installation ” under “ Diverse ” (e.g. 5.0 K).
The following settings must be made on the Master of the ventilation computer:
1. Installation menu - Set BUS - Master mode to 2 = “ Master with Gateway ” :
2. Installation menu - IO Setup - Set supply air temperature to “ BUS ” .
Information
At least two ZIEHL-ABEGG ventilation computers (1 x Master, 1 x Slave) must be available in the
system. In the case of only one device, the number of Slaves must be set to
“ 0 ” on the Master.
