Use combination carpet & floor brush for vacuuming both
hard surfaces and carpets. To clean hard surfaces – wooden
floors, plastic floors, ceramic tiles etc. pull out the brush by
pressing the switch on the combination brush according
to the figure
. Retract the brush when vacuuming
carpets (set the switch in “
”).
6
Grab the plug of the cord
(3)
, and pull it out of the
vacuum cleaner.
When pulling out the cord pay attention to
the yellow band which marks the end of the
cord. Any attempts to unwind the cord further
(especially forcefully pulling on it) may lead to
damaging it.
7
Put the plug of the cord in an electric socket.
Before turning the vacuum cleaner on, make sure the
CYKLON dust container is installed in the chamber of the
vacuum cleaner, and also the inlet filters and the outlet filter
are installed in the vacuum cleaner.
8
Press the on/off button to start the vacuum cleaner
.
9
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with an electronic
controller of suction power, which enables smooth regulation
of suction power of the vacuum cleaner. Adjust suction
power using the suction power adjustment knob. Rotate the
knob as indicated (MAX or MIN) to increase or decrease the
suction power.
10
The vacuum cleaner is also equipped with a mechanic
suction power controller
(11)
, which is situated on the hose
handle. It may be used to temporarily adjust the suction
power with no need to use the knob
(5)
.
Installing/deinstalling the CYKLON dust
container
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a removable CYKLON
dust container (part of the vacuum cleaner) where the dirt is
collected. After the CYKLON dust container is full, it has to
be emptied.
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a safety
valve. It opens up automatically when the
suction hose or any elements attached to it are
completely clogged up, and when the CYKLON
dust container is overfilled. After the valve is
open, you will hear a characteristic fluttering in
the vacuum cleaner. In vacuum cleaners model
ZVC431SK the knob backlight will be red, while
in model ZVC431HP the backlight colour will
change from blue to red.
1
During operation (the vacuum cleaner operates at full
power and the nozzle or brush is lifted above the cleaned
surface) the change in the knob backlight colour from blue to
red (ZVC431HP) or red backlight (ZCV431SK) indicates you
need to empty the CYKLON dust container. The red knob
backlight may also come on when suction tube or connected
accessories are clogged.

2
Press the on/off button
to stop the vacuum cleaner.
3
Remove the plug of the cord from the socket.
4
Press the buttons located at the tip of the hose, then
remove the hose from the vacuum cleaner inlet.
5
Press the CYKLON dust container release button
(8)
and
while holding the handle remove the CYKLON dust container
(18)
from the vacuum cleaner.
6
Move the CYKLON dust container over a dustbin.
Remove the CYKLON dust container lid and empty its
contents to the dust bin.
7
Replace the lid on the empty dust container.
8
Replace the emptied CYKLON dust container in the
vacuum cleaner. A characteristic “click” signalizes the
container has been properly installed.
It is necessary to empty the CYKLON dust container, if you
notice that:
a) there is red backlight ring around the knob,
b) the vacuum cleaner works less efficiently,
c) the CYKLON dust container is full.
Deinstalling the filters
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with the CYKLON dust
container based on cyclone filtration, making it possible to
use the vacuum cleaner without a dust bag. A cyclone filter
uses air stream swirling to separate solid dirt. Separation
of dirt is done in an O-shaped part of the container, where
the swirling air casts away dirt on the wall of the container.
This pre-filtered air is directed into the foam inlet filter and
washable EPA H10 inlet filter. A special filtering material used
in the EPA H10 inlet filter makes it possible to rinse the filter
with running water, if it is dirty, and reuse it later.
In case of getting the foam inlet filter (17), the
inlet filter, the outlet filter dirty, you can replace
them, clean them or rinse them with running
water.
It is forbidden to wash filters in washing
machines or dishwashers.
Filters may be dried only naturally.
Do not use hairdryers, heaters or radiators to
dry filters.
Before replacing the filters make sure the
vacuum cleaner is off, and the plug of the cord
is unplugged from the socket.
EPA E10/HEPA H13 INLET FILTER AND FOAM
INLET FILTER
It is necessary to periodically clean the inlet filter and the
foam inlet filter to remove small fractions of dust.
Remove the CYKLON dust container and empty it, as
described in para.
C
.

(16)
from the CYKLON dust
container.
