Insert the cable into a socket equipped with a safety ring.
After connecting the device to a power source, you will hear
an audio signal informing you that the device is ready for
use. The temperature display and control panel buttons will
light up for a moment
(7).
6
Turn the kettle on by pressing the button (7c) – an
audio signal will sound and the button will glow red (7c),
the temperature as set will fl ash blue (7a).
Do not activate the kettle if the amount of water
does not reach the „max” level on the water
level indicator (3).
The default water temperature setting is 100°C.
The maintain temperature function is deactiva-
ted.
7
When in use, the display with temperature selection func-
tion (7a) will show the current water temperature. The device
will automatically shut itself off when water has boiled, and
an audio signal will sound three times. The display with tem-
perature selection function (7a) will continue showing the
current water temperature for 2 minutes, then go off.
Heating / boiling
8
Water temperature can be set from 40°C to 100 °C at
intervals of 10°C. Set the temperature by placing your fi nger
under the desired temperature on the display with tempera-
ture selection function (7a). Turn the kettle on by pressing
the button (7c).
The kettle can not be turned on when the water
temperature is higher than the temperature
chosen via the temperature selection function.
Maintaining temperature
9
Temperatures between 40°C and 100°C can be mainta-
ined. Set the temperature to be maintained by placing your
fi nger under the desired temperature on the display with tem-
perature selection function (7a).
10
Next, activate the maintain temperature function by pres-
sing the button (7b). The temperature can be adjusted
while the function is activated. Temperature can be mainta-
ined for up to 2 hours.
If the water in the kettle is hotter than the
temperature entered, some time must elapse
before the temperature drops to the level at
which the kettle will automatically begin to heat
it up.
If the kettle will continue to be used, it is not
necessary to remove the plug from its socket.
If the water cools, activate the kettle to heat or
boil it. Temperature settings are saved as long
as the device is connected to a power source.
The kettle is equipped with an overheating pre-
vention function. If the kettle is turned on while
empty, it will automatically shut off. To use the
kettle again, allow it to cool down by waiting 15
minutes, then remove the kettle from its base,
pour in water and turn the kettle on by pressing
the button (7c). Do not fi ll a hot kettle with
cold water, wait for it to cool.
Avoid large differences in temperatures when
fi lling the kettle.
cleaning and maintenance
Always allow the kettle to cool down com-
pletely before cleaning!
1
Unplug the kettle from the mains.
2
Remove the fi lter
(8)
and rinse it under running water.
3
Clean the outside surfaces with a soft damp cloth
and washing-up liquid.
In order to remove the build-up of hard water fi lm from the
outside and inside walls of the kettle, wipe them with a damp
cloth and vinegar.
4
Rinse the kettle with clean water. Before putting the
device away, dry all of its parts.
Various deposits can form on the sides of the
kettle, and they can also get into the water. This
is because of the presence of minerals natu-
rally occurring in water (calcium, magnesium,
iron, etc.). These discolourations are not the
result of malfunction and do not cause pro-
blems for using the device. If larger amounts
of deposits form, they should be removed (see
“Dissolving limescale deposits”).
Descaling
In the event that scale builds up on the bottom of the kettle,
it needs to be removed. For this purpose use 6-10% vinegar
or citric acid.
●
Open the lid by pressing the lid release button
(6)
.
●
Pour in 0.5 l of vinegar (or add 40 g of citric acid) and fi ll
the kettle with water to the max level. Switch on the kettle.
●
Bring the mixture to boil and allow the kettle to stand for
30 minutes.
●
Empty the kettle and rinse it with fresh water.
●
Remove the fi lter
(8)
and rinse it under running water.
Replace the fi lter.
●
Fill the kettle with fresh water, boil the water and empty
the kettle.
●
If any deposits remain inside the device, wipe it with
a sponge and rinse with water; if this is not enough,
repeat the process from the beginning.
