4. Switch to the "Treat" work step.
5. Actuate the manual / foot trigger to release laser pulses
according to the parameter setting (see Section Triggering the
laser [

NOTE! On the navigation bar select the "Prepare" work step,
if no laser treatment is to be performed. After treatment,
switch off the system at the laser console using the key
switch and remove the key.
6.2.3.3 Triggering the laser
Single-spot mode
Action
u
Switch on the laser therapy beam by pressing the manual or
foot trigger.
u
Hold down the trigger to perform laser treatment with the set
pulse length. If the
Pause parameter has been configured,
several laser pulses will be triggered.
u
Release the trigger to instantaneously stop the laser therapy
beam.
Multi-spot mode ( VITE multi-spot option)
u
Switch on the laser therapy beam by pressing the manual
trigger on the joystick.
u
Hold down the manual trigger for approx. 0.5 sec. to initiate
the laser treatment with the set series of pulses.
u
Release the manual trigger to instantaneously stop the laser
therapy beam.
6.3 Operation with laser endoprobes
6.3.1 Connecting the laser endoprobe
Action 1. Open the laser endoprobe pack and carefully remove the SMA
connector of the sterile laser endoprobe. The hand piece can
be left in the pack until needed.
2. Remove the protective cap from the fiber optic adapter.
3. Screw the SMA connector into the laser fiber optic port on the
console (see Section Laser console [
}
30]).
NOTE! Carefully screw the SMA connector tight by hand.
Do not use tools.
NOTE! If you need to change the laser endoprobe during
treatment, switch to the “Prepare” work step in the
navigation bar.
