Switching off

The key switches on the Laser Bench Tower and Rack also serve as EMERGENCY STOP switches.

In case of danger, turn the key switch to the

OFF

or

0

position. This will switch off the lasers

immediately.

•

Turn off the laser (key switch on laser bench tower or rack to

OFF

). This will shut all laser lines down.

•

If required, close the ZEN software (blue edition) and shut down the control computer.

•

Switch of the signal distribution box and the TIRF Controller separately if necessary.

•

Turn off the entire system via the three switchable distributor sockets.

4.4

ZEN Software (blue edition)

The Slider Laser TIRF mot. is controlled via the ZEN software (blue edition).
For operating the software please see Section 4.7 and the

ZEN operating manual (blue edition).

4.5

Checking and Adjusting the Laser Beam Divergence and the TIRF Angle

TIRF divergence is adjusted using the

Focus

rotary button (Fig. 4-1/

1

) on the Slider Laser TIRF. The focus

of the laser beam can be adjusted to the pupil position of all usable objectives using this screw.
Every removal and re-installation of the Slider Laser TIRF must be followed by calibration.
Calibration of the Slider Laser TIRF man. is described in the following sections.
The Slider Laser TIRF mot. is controlled via the ZEN software (blue edition) using the Calibration Wizard.

Calibration of the Slider Laser TIRF mot. via software requires the camera adapter 60N-C 1.0x

for TIRF 3 with Bertrand optics.

4.5.1

Delivery Scope of the TIRF Adjustment Tool Kit

The following components are included in the TIRF adjustment tool kit (423684-9010-000) delivered:

Adjustment tool used to adjust laser beam divergence,

Adjustment tool used to adjust the TIRF angle,

−

Reflector module ACR P&C for reflected light with two ND filters 1 %,

−

2x Adapters M27x0.75 to W0.8; H=0 mm,
