6.1
Changing the pneumatic spring
Removal:
1)
Remove OPMI® from the suspension arm.
2)
Set balancing screw to maximum weight (turn
cw).
3)
Remove the locking screw and the top cover
from the suspension arm.
4)
Remove protection flap (

5)
Loosen setscrew (

) and push out pin (

).

Note
Hold the two halves of the suspension arm together by hand while pushing out pin (
3
).
6)
Allow the halves of the arm to slowly move
apart. If necessary, remove the cable clamp, to
the illumination potentiometer from the clip on
the upper half of the arm.
7)
Remove the cover plate from below the
balancing screw.
8)
Remove support plate (

) and unscrew
balancing screw (

).
9)
Remove the pneumatic spring.

Installation:
1)
Insert the pneumatic spring in the suspension
arm.
Note
The long side of the threaded block must
point upward when inserting spring (
