6.2. Troubleshooting
The following table gives some clues to solve problems.
If you cannot solve the problem or if you are feeling unsure do not hesitate to get in contact with
your local Carl Zeiss service engineer.

The working distance of 2 mm
can’t be reached
Distance of M-axis is too large.
Move the M-axis.
Motion error
Axis has hit an obstacle.
Check, if something lies on the
105-mm DC stage and blocks
the travel.
Motion error
Axis moves stiffly.
Call the local Carl Zeiss service
engineer to have the 105-mm DC
stage lubricated.
Interpolation or counter error
Dirt on stage.
Glass scale is dirty
Call the local Carl Zeiss service
engineer to have glass slides
cleaned.
Interpolation or counter error
Glass scale is damaged
Call the local Carl Zeiss service
engineer to have the 105-mm DC
stage replaced.
Interpolation or counter error
Encoder is not aligned.
Call the local Carl Zeiss service
engineer to have the encoder
aligned.
The R-axis can just be moved
in one direction.
Limit for R-axis is set.
Deactivate the limit for R-axis.
