3.15 Loading the system
•
Connect the refrigerant bottle to the gauge manifold and place it on a scale.
•
Connect the refrigerant bottle valve and drain the pressure gauge fitting line.
•
Keep the low-pressure side valve of the gauge manifold closed. Open the high-pressure side
valve.
•
Add refrigerant (see the quantity on silver sticker).
•
R-452A or R-134a. The refrigerant charge must be made in liquid phase for R-452A.
•
Close the refrigerant bottle valve and the upper side valve of the gauge manifold.
•
Start the vehicle engine, run at approximately 1000 rpm, and turn the unit on.
•
Open the lower side valve of the gauge manifold and the collant bottle valve, and add refrigerant
slowly until no bubbles can be seen through the liquid level glass window.
•
Close the refrigerant bottle and gauge manifold valves.
•
Leave the unit running for 15 minutes.
•
Set the suction pressure regulating valve CPR (see 3.16).
•
Adjust the expansion valve (see 3.17).
•
Connect the unit to electrical standby source. Run the unit on electric standby mode for 15 minutes.
•
Start the vehicle, turn on the unit and allow it to run on vehicle on for 15 minutes.
•
Check the liquid level window for bubbles.
•
Turn off the unit, stop the vehicle and remove the gauge manifold.
NOTE
The above conditions MUST be confirmed each time the refrigerant level is checked or
if refrigerant needs to be added for any reason.
