3.10 Alternative Road
Compressor
Cooling Circuit
(f)
Install spring (pos. 1) engaging catch in
crankshaft.
(g)
Push shaft seal assembly (pos. 2,3 and 4)
engaging spring second catch.
CAUTION
!
Avoid rubber rings scratches.
(h)
Install shaft cover (pos. 6) with paper gasket (pos.
5) dry and screw in a diametrically opposite
sequence.
CAUTION
!
Tightening torque: 37N m (327lb − in).
(i)
Turn compressor shaft a few turn by hand, than
carry out a leak test.
(j)
Install proper felt absorbent ring (pos. 8) and leak
oil ring (pos. 9).
(k)
Reinstall compressor following replacement
procedure from "paragraph p".
Capacity Regulation Valve Replacement
(a)
Disconnect unit from all electrical supplies
(Electrical main and Battery).
(b)
Remove solenoid nut (pos. 3) and coil (pos. 4).
(c)
Unscrew valve body (pos. 2) from compressor
head.
CAUTION
!
Clean valve slot from gasket and
oil residues.
(d)
Install new valve (pos. 2) and O-ring (pos. 1).
CAUTION
!
Lubricate valve gasket(pos.1) with
refrigeration oil.
CAUTION
!
Verify valve operativity before
installation.
(e)
Place washer (pos. 5) and solenoid coil (pos.4) in
position and fasten with fixing nut (pos.3).
