Exercising Other Features
Once you have the base demo in Section 6 (and optionally 7) running, you can modify the options in the
GUI to exercise other features. These include:
-Encoding from a second channel
-Streaming using RTP
-Streaming to a file
-Adjusting input resolution
-Setting # of I/P/B frames
You can also store the configuration and store in the default or other files.
Besides using the web-based GUI, you can also use the serial menus. Note that, in this release, the
decoders can only be exercised from the serial menus (there is no GUI-based support). More detailed
system information can also be gained from the options in the serial interface.
A command line interface called MCSENC is also available for running commands. This can be invoked
with the command:
#
source /opt/mcsenc/mcsenc.sh
This can be used to start a streaming encode session or to encode to a file on a connected USB drive, SATA
drive, or SD card. A separate manual for MCSENC is available upon request.
