3.5  Synchronization with the Controller

Achieving Synchronization

If you send the following program message when receiving averaging measurement 

data, the data may be retrieved before the completion of the measurement.

ACQuire: AVERage: STARt; : WAVedata: DISPlay: SEND: ASCii?

In such case, the following method must be used to synchronize with the end of the 

acquisition.

Using the STATus:CONDition? Query

The "

STATus:CONDition?

" command is used to query the contents of the condition 

register.

Whether averaging measurement waveforms are being retrieved can be determined by 

reading bit 1 of the condition register.

If bit 1 of the condition register is "

1

", waveforms are being retrieved. Otherwise, it is
