Linear Encoder Inspections
Consult the manufacturer of the linear encoder for maintenance and inspection information.
Periodic Inspections
Gaps between Moving Coil
and Magnetic Way
At least once a
year
Disconnect the Servomotor
from the SERVOPACK and
confirm that there is no for-
eign matter caught inside the
Servomotor and that none of
the gaps has increased in
size since the Servomotor
was first used.

Measure the insulation resis-
tance.
At least once a
year
Disconnect the Servomotor
from the SERVOPACK and
measure the insulation resis-
tance at 500 V with an insula-
tion resistance meter.
(Measurement method: Mea-
sure the resistance between
phase U, V, or W on the Ser-
vomotor’s power line and
FG.)
The insulation is normal if the
resistance is 10 M
Ω
or higher.

If the resistance is
less than 10 M
Ω

contact your Yaskawa
representative.

Do not perform insu-
lation resistance mea-
surements or
withstand voltage
tests on the sensor.
Overhaul
At least once
every 5 years
Contact your Yaskawa repre-
sentative.

semble or clean a Ser-
vomotor yourself.
