2-2. Place of installation
Ensure to place the DF870 on a level surface. Placing the DF870 on
an uneven, wobbly, or slanted floor leads to inaccurate measurement.
The DF870 has leveling legs for adjusting its levelness. Place the
DF870 on as flat a surface as possible, and turn the leveling legs so
that the bubble in the spirit level is located at the center of the reference
circle. At that time, ensure that all the leveling legs are in firm contact
with the floor.
Finally, to prevent the DF870 from toppling over, turn the auxiliary leg
to securely fix it in place.
Turn the leveling leg and the auxiliary leg clockwise to lower the
DF870, and turn them counterclockwise to raise the DF870.

Power key
Press this key to turn on the power. Press and hold this key to shut down
the power.
Indication hold
key
Fixes the indicated body weight until the person steps down from the
DF870.
Mode key Switches between Weight mode and Body Composition mode.
Zero reset key Resets the indication value to zero.
Tare key
Subtracts the weight of the clothes placed on the DF870 and the helper’s
weight.
Set key Sets the input values, or executes the settings.
Return key Resets the input values and returns to the previous settings.
