Oil seal (impeller shaft)
1. Install:

• Oil seal

To crankcase (right).

NOTE:

• Install the oil seal with the “WATER SIDE”

mark

on the outside.

• Apply the lithium soap base grease on oil seal

lip.

Impeller shaft
1. Install:

• Impeller shaft

NOTE:

• Take care so that the oil seal lip is not dam-

aged or the spring does not slip off its posi-
tion.

• When installing the impeller shaft, apply the

lithium soap base grease on the oil seal lip
and impeller shaft. And install the shaft while
turning it.

2. Install:

• Plain washer [T=2.0 mm (0.08 in)]

• Plain washer [T=1.0 mm (0.04 in)]

• Circlip

To impeller shaft

NOTE:

Install the plain washer of 2.0 mm (0.08 in)
thickness first.

3. Install:

• Dowel pin

• Gasket (water pump housing cover)
