• Before starting work on the unit,
make sure that the unit and the con-
trol panel are isolated from the power
supply and cannot be energized.
Grounding (earthing)
Electrical Hazard:
• Always connect the external protec-
tion conductor to ground (earth) ter-
minal before making other electrical
connections.
4.4.1 Power supply connection
WARNING:
Always turn off the power supply and
wait a minimum of 2 minutes before
making any connections.
The converter comes with a mains power cable and
a motor power cable. Some models have a power
supply cable with mains plug. See Table 31 . Install
the pump making sure that the plug and socket can
be easy to access for deactivating the con
pump system.
If the power cable of the motor needs to be re-
placed, fit a new one of a cross-section suited to the
maximum current consumption of the electric motor
and taking into account also the maximum voltage
drop (≤4%). Refer to Table 17 and Table 19 for the
minimum characteristics of the H07RNF cables in
relation to the model of the converter and the length
of the cable. Maximum cross-section 4mm

Install or replace the power

REAR cover.
2. Insert the power ca-
bles in the relative
cable glands. Figure

ground cable to the
relative terminal and

cable to be longer
than the other ca-

4. Check that all the ca-
bles are secured,
close the REAR cov-
er and fasten the
screws.

WARNING:
• The power cable of the motor must
NEVER be laid parallel to the power
cable of the converter, see Figure 9 .
• Models MTW and MTA: although the
converter has a single-phase power
supply, the pump motor always has a
three-phase power supply at 230 V.
The missing phases are created by
the converter. For additional informa-
tion, see Figure 11 , Figure 13 , and
Figure 14 .
4.4.2 I/O connections
