Account Limit

Set restrictions on the account, such as assigning a maximum number of pages that
can be used for copying, scanning, and printing. Each account can be set for 1-9,999,999
pages in 1 sheet increments.

Account limits include the following:

• Feature Access: Set access restrictions for specific features.

• Change Account Limit: Set the maximum number of pages for copy, scan, and print

jobs.

User Role

Select a user role for the user.

• User: No special privileges are given to the user.

• System Administrator: This user has most system administrator privileges except

they cannot change the administrator passcode.

Creating / Viewing / Editing a User Account

Note

The following procedure is presented using the Accounting feature, but this same
function also can be accessed by selecting  Authentication / Security Settings  >
Authentication  > Create / View User Accounts .

1. Log in as the administrator.
2. Press the Machine Status button on the press User Interface (UI).
3. Press the Tools button on the UI.
4. Select Accounting.
5. Select Create / View User Accounts.
6. Perform one of the following:

• To create a new account, select an Available account (one that is not in use), or
• To edit a previously created account, select the desired one from the displayed

list.

7. Select the Create / Delete button.

• If creating a new account, perform the following:

Use the numeric keypad and enter a four-digit number from 0001 to 1000;
this will correspond to an Available account. The entered number displays
in the Go To field.

Select the Create / Delete button; the User ID screen is displayed.

• If editing a previously created account, continue to the next step.

8. Select OK.
9. Using the keypad, enter a User ID of up to 32 characters, and select Save.
