If the convenience stapler jams, replace the staple cartridge. For details, see

Clearing Staple Jams in the 650-Sheet Finisher

Open the finisher stapler door at the rear of the finisher as shown.

Grip the staple cartridge by the orange handle and pull it firmly toward you to remove it.
