Product Overview

The 6279 Wide Format Printer processes print jobs that it receives from a client
workstation as well as scanned and copied jobs. The 6279 Wide Format Printer enables
all types of image data to be printed in the supported formats, including standard and
non-standard sized documents. It also allows the user to view the status of print jobs,
cancel print jobs, and change print job priority.

This chapter describes the overall operation of the 6279 Wide Format Printer and the
functions of the major components. You will see information on powering on and off
correctly, the Power Saver feature, the User Interface features and media requirements.
