Free running Trigger
The free running trigger will generate triggers with a certain time interval. The camera
firmware determines the minimum interval time or frame time that will be used, based on the
current image acquisition configuration (see Chapter 5.2). When the free running trigger is
enabled and programmed with an interval, it waits until:
•
The interval time has lapsed.
•
And the detector electronics are ready to accept a new trigger.
In this way, a maximum frame rate can be set. The real frame rate may be lower based on
the image acquisition configuration.
The Wildcat can be configured in free running mode by setting

. The maximum framerate is dependent on

, as explained in Chapter 5.2.
