Row and column counter
: Pixel values are based on a counter which increments on
every pixel in a line. Out of a 16-bit pixel value, the 8 most significant bits show the
line number and the 8 least significant bits show the column number in that line.
Each test pattern value can be made to move cyclically through the image stream by

Solid value
: The fixed pixel value sweeps through the entire 9-bit range, with each
frame still consisting entirely of one pixel value.

X gradient:
The normal gradient moves horizontally from right to left.

Y gradient:
The normal gradient moves vertically from bottom to top.
•
X xor Y gradient
: The normal gradient shifts diagonally from the bottom right to the
top left corner.

Row and column counter:
The normal row counter moves vertically from bottom to
top and the normal column counter moves horizontally from right to left.

allows you to shift all 9-bit pixel values from the generator by the
specified number of bits.
