Email Messages
Consult this section if you have problems receiving email from the
Gateway.
Problem
Cause
Solution
None or only some of the
expected email is
received from the
Gateway.
Email is not configured
correctly.
The Gateway is not
connected to an inverter or
other devices on the
Xanbus network.
View the configuration web page and ensure
that you have enabled the desired message
types and entered the correct email server.
Your internet service provider can supply
your email server details, or you may find
your server information in your email
program’s account settings.
Connect the Gateway to the Xanbus network.
Gateway email arrives
from “Unknown sender.”
You have not entered your
basic information on the
configuration web page.
On the configuration web page, click Home
and enter your name and email address.
Different Logged Fault
times are displayed in
the Solar Monitor
Widget and in Alarm
email messages.
The Widget’s local
computer time is different
than the time configured
for the Gateway.
Normal operation. The Fault or Alarm times
are different when your computer is set to a
different time zone than the Gateway. If you
are viewing the Widget on a remote
computer, the Fault or Alarm times in email
and displayed on the Widget may differ.
