ENERAL
These Installation Checkout procedures should be performed after initial installation of the AV-

these procedures will help assure that the system achieves its specified performance levels in day
to day operation.

OWER UP
CAUTION: Before applying power to the system, verify that all cables are properly connected
and terminated.
The AV-300/350 receiver normally powers up with the Avionics Master switch. If the receiver
has been connected to the optional external standby switch, it can be used to place the receiver
into standby mode, which is essentially the same as turning the receiver OFF.
NOTE:
The AV-300/350 receiver requires approximately three minutes to initialize after
power is applied or after the optional standby switch is deactivated. Audio and
data products will not be available prior to completion of the power-on
initialization sequence. The 420-0350-RM Remote Control will connect to the
AV-350 following the power-on initialization. Prior to the 420-0350-RM Remote
Control connecting to the AV-350 Receiver, the AV-350 audio can only be muted
using discrete mute inputs on the AV-350 Receiver.
