C.1.3  Testing Card RAM 

To test the card’s RAM, follow these steps: 

1.  Write the upper byte of the desired 20-bit base address to the AddrMatch Register. 

2.  Write the desired window size to the WinSize register (refer to Section 3.1.5,  

WinSize Register

, for details). The default value in the window size is 0x3F. 

3.  Write 0x40 (MemEn) to the Control Register at offset 1. 

4.  Fill the shared memory with a test pattern. 

 

Note 

We recommend using a test pattern with a unique value for each word in 
a given bank. In C, this could be: 

~ bank. 

5.  Repeat steps 3-4 for all memory banks. 

6.  Verify the test pattern.
