ADDITIONAL SAFETY FOR ELECTRIC BRAKE TRAILERS

DANGER!

Ensure the electric brake wire is secured as close to the

trailer axle as possible to prevent wire disconnection during towing.
Failure to follow this will result in serious injury or death.

DANGER!

Be sure electric brake battery is charged and is working

properly before towing the sawmill. Failure to follow this will result in
serious injury or death.

DANGER!

Do not use the electric brake system as an “emergency

brake” while the sawmill is not being towed, thus draining the brake
battery. Failure to follow this will result in serious injury or death.

2.3

Electrical Lockout Procedures

RULES FOR USING LOCKOUT PROCEDURE

The sawmill shall be locked out to protect against accidental or inadvertent operation
when such operation could cause injury to personnel. Do not attempt to operate any
switch or valve bearing a lock.
