Object detection
An object detection event can be triggered when the camera detects an object set by the user. The camera can
detect four types of objects: Person, Vehicle, Face, and License plate.
Click the [Apply] button when the setup is complete.
The settings for object detection applies the same to [Object detection] under [Event]>[Event setup].

Exclude area
Setting an exclude area
Either select 4 vertexes using the mouse or draw a quadrilateral by dragging the mouse from
the Preview screen to set the excluded area. Up to 8 areas can be excluded.
Changing an exclude area
An exclude area can be reshaped by moving its vertices.
Enable object detection
To enable object detection events, select [Enable object detection].
When [Enable object detection] is selected, an object detection event occurs when the
object selected from [Object detection] stays on screen for a longer time than the time
set in [Minimum duration].
Sets the type of objects for the camera to detect.
Object detection
Select one of the object types for the camera to detect: Person, Vehicle, Face, or
License plate. For the vehicle object types, you can select one or more options for the
detailed type.
Minimum duration (s)
Sets the minimum duration for an event to occur after the camera detected an object.
The event occurs only when the detected object moves for a longer time than the set
time.
Handover
Select a handover receiver camera number. Select [Off] if you don't want to use the
handover function.
Handover is a function that the receiver camera moves to the PTZ preset position when
an object detection event occurs. The handover receiving camera can be set in the
[Event] > [Handover] menu.
Sets the area from which the objects selected from [Object detection] are to be
excluded.
