Connecting to the Network

Before you connect SmartPAC PRO Servo to a computer network, consult with your network
administrator to obtain the necessary connections and settings, for example, whether to obtain an IP
address automatically (DHCP) or use a Static IP address.

The Ethernet cable is plugged into the Ethernet connector on the SmartPAC PRO Servo board.

NOTICE

SETTING STATIC IP ADDRESS

SmartPAC PRO Servo comes from the factory set up for a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
(DHCP) network, which automatically assigns IP addresses. If your network requires static IP
addresses, have your network administrator call Wintriss Tech. Support for assistance in setting up
SmartPAC PRO Servo with a static IP address. See

CHANGE NETWORK SETTINGS

Adding or Upgrading DiProPAC or ProCamPAC

ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD

Turn off and disconnect power from SmartPAC PRO Servo and from the machinery it is connected
to before making any wiring connections. This includes power to the machine control and motor.
Do not connect the AC power source until you are done with all other installation procedures.

Failure to comply with these instructions could result in death or serious injury.

CAUTION

DAMAGE TO BOARD FROM STATIC DISCHARGE

Ground yourself before touching circuit boards or chips by touching a large metal object such as
the press. Static electricity can destroy electronic components.
