2.4.1 RUD Eye Bolts

These eye bolts (

Fig. 1

) have an inner screw that can be turned independently of the

ring part. You must make sure that:

The eye bolt has no damage e.g. corrosion, deformation etc

The eye bolt is correctly attached

You use the star profile wrench to tighten the inner screw (do not use an exten-

sion)

The seating surfaces fully touch (i.e. the inner screw is turned fully in)

The ring can freely turn

Before you attach a load, align the ring with the direction of the force.

Note: Do not apply a lateral load to the eye bolt.
