Faults
Causes
Remedy
Pump does not start
Wrong voltage or voltage drop
Check the voltage on starting. If the cable
cross-section is too small, this can lead to a
voltage drop and the pump will not start.
Interruption of the connecting cable
Measure the phase resistances, pull up the
pump and check the cable.
The motor protection switch has tripped.
Check the protection switch setting of the
trip current intensity and compare this with
the nominal current absorbed.
Pump starts too frequently.
Reduce starting processes, risk of overheat-
ing of the motor (approx. 1 min.).
Electronics in the Fluid control defective.
Replace Fluid control
Pump runs but does not pump
No water or water level too low
• Check the water level, guarantee mini-
mum 0.20 m above the intake socket.
• Vent the pump
The flow rate is too low.
The intake filter is blocked.
Pull up the pump and clean the filter.
Wrong direction of rotation (DM version)
Change over two phases in the connection
box.
Pump starts up too often.
Too little difference between switch-on and
switch-off pressure.
Increase the difference between the
switch-on and the switch-off pressure.
Electrodes are incorrectly installed.
Adjust the distance between the electrodes
so that a corresponding time lag is guaran-
teed between the stationary mode and
operating mode of the pump.
The diaphragm expansion tank is too small
or the supply pressure is incorrect.
Check and adjust the pressure (switch on
and switch off). Check the tank supply pres-
sure. Replace the diaphragm expansion tank
with a bigger one or add another one.
The pressure gauge displays incorrect pres-
sure valves after adjustment.
Check whether the socket on the pressure
gauge is set to the highest position. If nec-
essary, correct the position and make the
pressure adjustments again.
Leaks within the installation
Check the installation / tap connections for
leaks and seal if necessary.
Pump does not stop.
Water loss greater than 0.6 l/min.
Check installation
Fluid control flow monitor is blocked by
sand.
Remove Fluid control from the installation
and flush out against the direction of flow.
Electronics in the Fluid control defective.
Replace the Fluid control.
The pressure switch switch-off pressure has
been set too high.
Check and correct the switch-off pressure.
