WILO SE 03/2018
WARNING! Risk of injury!
Opening the motor leads to high, suddenly occurring magnetic
forces. These can cause serious cuts, crushing injuries and bruises.
• Do not open the motor!
• Only allow Wilo customer service to dismantle and install the motor
flange and the bearing plate for maintenance and repair work.
10.2.3 Replacing the electronic module
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
There is a risk of fatal injury from electric shock when working on
electrical devices. Following removal of the electronic module, a
potentially fatal shock voltage may be present at the motor con-
tacts.
• Ensure system is voltage-free, cover or screen off adjacent live
parts.
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
If the rotor is driven by the impeller when the pump is at a stand-
still, dangerous contact voltage can arise at the motor contacts.
• Close the shut-off devices upstream and downstream of the pump.
• Separate the motor shaft from the coupling unit by loosening the
coupling screws.
NOTICE:
The magnets inside the motor pose no risk to persons with pacemak-
ers
provided that the motor is not opened and the rotor is not
removed.
The electronic module can be replaced without any danger.
• Carry out steps 1 to 6 and 8 to 9 to remove the electronic module in
accordance with chapter 10.2 "Maintenance tasks" on page 114.
NOTICE:
To dismantle and assemble the electronic module, observe the
enclosed instructions on the spare part.
• Proceed further (restore pump to operational standby) as described in
chapter 10.2 "Maintenance tasks" on page 114
in reverse order
(steps 9 to 1).
NOTICE:
Comply with the commissioning measures, (see chapter 9 "Commis-
sioning" on page 109).
At motor powers
≥
11 kW, the electronic module has a built-in speed-
controlled fan for cooling, which switches on automatically as soon as
the heat sink reaches 60 °C. The fan draws in air from the outside,
which is guided over the outer surface of the heat sink. It only runs
when the electronic module is operated under load. Depending on the
current ambient conditions, dust is also sucked in by the fan, which
can accumulate in the heat sink. This must be checked at regular
intervals and the fan and the heat sink need to be cleaned, if neces-
sary.
