7. Maintenance / Repair / Transport
7.1. In General
•
Replace damaged pieces immediately, be particularly carefull w ith electric parts.
- Dirt and humidity are very good current conductors.
Prescribed maintenance and inspection w orks should be performed in time. The
DVS gives the advice of inspection w orks after 1 year.
For machines w ith a specially high usage percentage the testing cycle should
be shortened .
The w orks should be performed at the WIDOS GmbH company or by an
authorized partner..
7.2. Transport
•
Handle the machine carefully.
•
Protect the machine from heavy shocks.
7.3. Clamping Elements
•
For a long service life clean and grease regularly the threaded spindles and the joint
parts w hich are used for clamping the pipes.
7.4. Planer
•
Check the stress of the drive chain in the planer and grease the chain regularly.
•
Never lay the planer on its knives.
•
Check the knives of the planer for sharpness, turn them if necessary (grinded on both
sides, max. thickness of the cuttings: 0.2 mm!).
7.5. Checking and Refilling the Hydraulic Oil
Check the oil level in the hydraulic system regularly. Screw
off the red cover srew on the top of the tank. Pull out the
integrated oil dipstick, clean it w ith a dry tissue and insert it
again in the tank. Then turn out again and check the oil level. It
must be betw een the marks. If the oil level is under the marks,
add oil of the quality HLDP 32.
7.6. Disposal
At the end of their life time, the machine and the w ear parts have to be
disposed of properly and non-polluting, and in accordance w ith the national
law s of w aste disposal.
