Maintenance / Repair
•
Check the stress of the drive chain in the planer and tighten again if necessary (by means
of the screw for chain tightening at the front or - after dismounting the cover sheet - by
means of the chain tightener w heel at the rear side).
•
Grease the drive chain regularly.
•
Also grease regularly the teflon friction free guide (e.g. w ith teflon spray) at the gap
betw een carrier piece and cover sheet.
•
Never lay the planer on its knives.
•
Check the knives of the planer for sharpness, turn them if necessary (grinded on both
sides, max. thickness of the cuttings: 0,2 mm !).
4.4. Extras: Angle Setting at the Clamping Device
For w elding angles, each clamping ring can be turned for max. 11,25°.
For that purpose, unscrew both hexagon screw s (1) on the adapter plate, set the clamping
ring to the desired angle (up to 11,25°) and tighten again the hexagon screw s (1).
Take care that the clamping rings do not touch each other at the top.
