OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Note:

Before using the power tool, read the instruction manual carefully.

1. Intended use

The machine is intended for drilling in wood, metal, and plastic etc.

2. Assembly
1) 

Installing the column assembly to the base:

a) Place the base on a firm level surface.
b) Secure the column assembly to the base using the three hex-head screws provided

(See Fig 1)

Installing the work table

a) Slide the work table and table clamp bracket onto the column assembly.
b) Position the work table to the desired height and tighten the support lock handle

(See Fig 2)

3) 

Installing the machine head

a) Place  the  machine head  onto the  column  assembly.  Press the  machine head  downward on  the 
column assembly as far as it will go.
b) Align the machine head with the worktable and the base.
c) Tighten the two head locking screws with the Allen key supplied

(See Fig 3)

Insert the three machine feed handles into the tapped holes on the pinion shaft

(See Fig 4)

.

Installing the drill chuck

a) Open the jaws of the drill chuck as wide as possible by turning the chuck sleeve.
b) Holding the chuck on the tapered end of the spindle shaft, use a soft tip (rubber) hammer or a block 
of wood and a hammer.
c) Tap the chuck onto the spindle shaft

(See Fig 5)

Note:

To avoid damage to the chuck and the spindle shaft, do not drive the chuck onto the spindle shaft 

with a metal hammer. Damage to the chuck will occur.

6) Installing the guard

a) Loose the three screws on the support of guard.
b) Turn over the support to 90

0

c) Insert the guard into groove of support (See Fig6).
d) Tighten the three screws on the support. 
e) Set guard depth required, and then tighten wing nut on the guard.

Mounting the machine

During operation of the machine, there may be instances where the machine could tip over, slide, or 
walk on the supporting surface. To secure the machine:
a) Place the machine on the workbench as desired.
b)

Fasten

the machine to the workbench using two suitable bolts, washers, and nuts through the holes 

in the machine base

(See Fig 7)

.

4. Removing and installing drill bits

Use only the chuck key provided by the manufacturer with the machine.
1) Use the chuck key to loosen the chuck.
