DO
keep delivery and suction tubes as short as possible and follow the straightest route. Use bends of large
radius. Any valves in the pipeline must not restrict the flow.
DO
use suction and delivery pipes equal to or larger than the bore of the tube in the pumphead. When pumping
viscous fluids use pipe runs with a bore several times larger than the pump tube.
DO
fit long lengths of pump tube and move fresh tube through the pumphead at regular times. This will reduce
tube failure.
DO
keep the track and rollers clean.

Operate the pump on a flat horizontal surface. The pump requires a free flow of air for cooling. Do not block the air
vents beneath the pump or at the rear. Do not stack pumps more than three high.
Use only single phase mains electricity supplies.
Set the voltage selector to 115V for 100-120V 50/60Hz supplies or 230V for 220-240V 50/60Hz supplies. Always
check the voltage selector switch before connecting the mains supply.
Voltage selector switch. Mains power switch. Combined inlet socket and fuse
A mains cable is supplied with a moulded plug. The cables use the following colour code:
•
220-240V: Live - Brown. Neutral - Blue. Earth - Green Yellow
•
100-120V: Live - Black. Neutral - White. Earth - Green

If the pump will not start make the following checks:
•
Check the position of the voltage selector switch
•
Check the mains power switch at the rear of the pump
•
Check the tube and rotor in the pumphead
•
Check that mains power is available to the pump
•
Check the fuse in the mains inlet socket at the rear of the pump
We recommend using commercially available supply voltage surge suppression
where there is a great deal of electrical noise.
