3. Equipment use and specifications

Micromatic water purification equipment provides Type II purified water (ASMT) from the tap water.

The equipment combines several processes to supply purified water (pre-filtration, reverse osmosis and deionisation).

The  water  provided  by  the  equipment  is  suitable  for  numerous  laboratory  techniques,  preparation  of  culture  media  and  other
applications requiring Type II purified water.

Once the equipment has been connected and started up, operation is automatic.

The purified water of the Micromatic equipment is not fit for human consumption.

3.1 Electrical Power Requirements:

110 - 230V AC / 50 - 60 Hz Single-phase / 36W.
Use only the transformer supplied with the equipment.
The power point should not be situated below the equipment.
Power consumption 24 VA
System voltage 24 Vdc

Feed water requirements:

Drinking water (according to European or USA standards)

Maximum Inlet
pressure

6 bar.

Minimun. Inlet
pressure

3 bar

Temperature:

5ºC – 35ºC

Maximum hardness:

300 ppm
(CaCO

)

SDI  (Silt Density
Index)

< 5

Conductivity

< 800

µ

S/cm

Free Chlorine:

<1 ppm

Turbidity:

< 1 NTU

Deviation  from  the  feed  value  requirements  may  cause  deterioration  of  the  equipment  components  and/or  a  decrease  in
performance.

Ambient temperature

Operation:

5ºC – 35ºC

Storage:

5ºC – 35ºC

The ambient temperature and, above all, the feed water temperature affect the equipment's performance.
The ideal operating temperature is in the range between 20 - 25°C.
If the equipment may be submitted to low temperatures, make sure it is no less than 5°C.
Relative humidity HR = No condensation.  HR < 80% for Temp. up to 31°C (linear decrease up to 50% at 40°C).
