Handle fuel safely: Store flammable fluids away from
fire hazards. Never refuel a machine while smoking, or
near sparks or flame.
Clean machine regularly: Keep rubbish, debris,
grease, and oil from collecting in the engine
compartment, around fuel or hydraulic lines, and around
electrical wiring. Never store oily rags or flammable
materials in a machine compartment.
Maintain hoses and wiring: Replace hydraulic hoses
immediately if they start to leak, and clean up any oil
spills. Regularly examine electrical wiring and
connectors for damage.
Keep a fire extinguisher available: Always keep a
suitable fire extinguisher on or near the machine. Know
how to use it.

● Turn off the engine.
● Turn off the master disconnect switch.
● Suppress the fire with a fire extinguisher or other
equipment if possible.
● Stop the fire from spreading to the surrounding area.
● Call for help!
