3.1 Overview
IO-Link is a communication system for connecting intelligent sensors and actuators to an
automation system. This communication system is defined in the IEC 61131-9 standard

The IO-Link Communication Module enables communication with an IO-Link master. It is
plugged onto the communication interface that is integrated on the front of the WAGO
