9.6 Attachment kit for attached vernier calliper for 2 axes and spindle Y-axis
9.6.1 Replacement of the spindle Y-axis
In order to prevent the Y-axis hand cranks from colliding with the vernier callipers when they are attached, the existing
spindle in the Y-axis must be replaced by an extended spindle.
Disassembly of the installed Y-axes spindle
1. Place the coordinate table with the top down as shown
2. Loosen the 2 screws (20) using a 5 mm hexagon socket wrench while holding the 2 nuts (21) with a 10 mm spanner
3. Place the screws (20), nuts (21) and serrated washers (22) aside
4. Use the hand crank (19) to remove the Y-axis spindle (18) from the threading of the compound slide
5. Use a 2.5 mm hexagon socket wrench wo loosen the threaded pin (23) in the hand crank (19)
6. Remove the hand crank (19) as shown

7. Use a 2.5 mm hexagon socket wrench to loosen the threaded pin (24) in the adjusting ring (25)
8. Remove the adjusting ring (25) with spring ring and scaling ring
9. Remove the spindle (18) from the spindle bearing (26)
10. Remove the cup spring (27) and disk (28) from the spindle (18)
