9.7 Attachment kit for attached vernier calliper for 2 axes and spindle Y axis
9.7.4 Mount the attached X-axis vernier calliper to article number 24610
1. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the 2 end brackets (E) of the attached vernier calliper (9) from the attached
vernier calliper (9)
2. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to separate the two halves of the end brackets; rotate each lower half 180°
3. Hold the lower halves of the two end brackets (E) on the inside holes of the two attached vernier callipers left (8) and
right (10)
4. Fit the washers (6) onto the screws (7) and insert the screws (7) into the fastening holes of the lower halves of the
two end brackets (E)
5. Use a 3 mm hexagon socket wrench to screw the 2 screws (7) into the internal fastening threads in the 2 attached
vernier calliper brackets left (8) and right (10) hand tight.
6. Press the lower halves of the two end brackets (E) against the front of the top slide; then tighten the 2 screws (7)
7. Hold the attached vernier calliper (9) on the two end brackets and use a Phillips head screwdriver to attach the two
upper halves of the end brackets (E) to the lower halves
8. The rear holes in the display of the attached vernier calliper (9) must align with the front slots in the vernier calliper
bracket (18). Shift the display adequately for this
9. Use the screws (14) to screw the display of the attached vernier calliper (9) through the front slots of the vernier
calliper (18) bracket from below.
10. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the screws
11. Any required height adjustment of the attached vernier calliper bracket on the left (8) and right (10) can be made by
loosening the screws (7) which clamp the attached vernier calliper bracket in the front T-groove using a 3mm hexa-
gon socket wrench with a spherical head
12. Retighten the screws (7) following the height adjustment.
13. Then use the hand crank (33) to move the Y-axis to the two end positions of the attached vernier calliper (9) and
check the attached vernier calliper for ease of movement
