The spool net

Make sure

that the thread unwinds correctly and evenly.

In the case

where the thread used shows poor unwinidng behaviour

, we recommend

the use of a spool net. The net

can

be found in the accessory box.

Pull the spool net over the spool from the bottom, as shown in the
illustra-tion below. Guide the thread upwards from the spool net to the 1st
threading position

Pulling on the spool net.

W6 Tip

Cheap,

low-

quality threads can cause

problems during sewing

. We

therefore recommend that you use thread tension-friendly and lint-free W6
WERTAR-BEIT thread, available in more than four-hundred different
colours.

10.8

Changing thread

using a knot:

If a spool is empty or should you wish to switch to a different type or
colour of thread,

it is possible to make this switch without being forced to

go through the entire threading process again for the new thread.

Prerequisite:

•

The presser foot is in the upper position (only then can the tension discs
be disengaged).

•

Fresh thread is ready for use.

Please follow the steps below:

Cut the threads close to the spools.

Place fresh spools on the spool holder.
