Mobile Internet
Your phone gives you access to the Internet using WAP
(Wireless Application Protocol). WAP lets you view and
use specially formatted Internet sites that are designed to
make the best use of the compact screen size of your
phone. WAP-formatted sites tend to offer content tailored
for the mobile user and present information using fewer
graphics and less text than ordinary web sites.

One essential step to getting online is to define or select
a
Profile .
Profiles
A profile defines how the link will be made from your
phone’s mobile network to the Internet, using the services
of a specialised Internet Service Provider (ISP). Such a
profile may be pre-configured by your mobile service
provider, or alternatively, you can edit your own.
The organisation chosen within your profile will usually
offer a Home Page where you can select from numerous
options such as news reports, sports results, online
shopping, etc. Alternatively, you can venture out onto the
Internet at large to locate your own destinations.
