Useful technical specifications
• Phone modem transmission speeds: conforms to ITU-
T standard for transfers at 2400, 4800, 9600 and
14400bps.
• Phone modem command set: conforms to V.25ter.
• Fax compatibility: Service Class 2 at 2400, 4800,
7200 or 9600bps.
• SMS/Phonebook management: conforms to ETSI GSM
07.05 and 07.07.
Using the Infrared port*
Your phone includes an infrared communication port* so
that you can share information with other similarly
equipped and compatible devices.
Information that can be sent and received includes:

In each case, the sending device must be made to
transmit the information while the other device is
simultaneously set to receive.
To receive information through the Infrared port:
1 Place your phone and the other device so that their
infrared windows are directly facing each other,
roughly 20cm apart (the infrared window on your
phone is adjacent to the antenna).

as it waits
for the incoming information. This will last for up to
one minute or until information starts being
received.
4 Configure the sending device to transmit the required
information.
5 Your phone will respond to the received information
and ask you to confirm each item before saving.
• You can locate the received information either in
your Phonebook or your Calendar, depending on
the type of entry.
