Timing gears

Installing

Make sure the crankshaft crosskey is fitted in
position.Use tool 2659 and fit the crankshaft gear.

Tighten the gear wheel bolts to the following
torque:

Make sure the camshaft drive gear guide pin is in
position. Fit the camshaft drive gear. Then the in-
termediate gear. Ensure that the line-up marks on
the intermediate gear, the crankshaft gear and the
camshaft drive gear coincide.

Fit the injection pump drive gear.

Fit the crankshaft hub centre bolt and washer.
Tighten the centre bolt to 560

30Nm (56

3 kpm).

If torque multiplier 9711 is used, the tightening
torque will be 140 Nm (14 kpm).

Temporarilly lock the crankshaft with stop 4706.

Smear the crankshaft end with molybdenumndi-
sulphide grease before pressing on the crankshaft
hub.
