Note! Cylinder head should always be torqued when the
engine is completely cold.

The tightening torques only apply for oiled-in bolts and
nuts. Degreased (washed) parts must be oiled-in before
fitting.

Cylinder head, torque in stages: .....................................

1 = 20 Nm (2.0 kpm = 15 Lbf ft)
2 = 60 Nm (6.0 kpm = 43 Lbf ft)
3 = angle-tighten 90°

– the bolts must be replaced if they show

signs of stretching. This can be seen at the
middle of the bolt where it has been
stretched out.

– the bolts can only be re-used 5 times.

Replace the bolts if there is any doubt regard-
ing these two points.
