Resistance measurement
Connect the plug of the black test lead in the “COM” connector.
Connect the plug of the red test lead in the “V” connector.
Select the resistance measurement range “Ω” using the rotary switch.
Place the measurement probes on the measurement object.
If the display shows “OL”, the value
is larger than the maximum meas-
ured value (see Technical Data) or
the measurement object is defec-
tive (interrupted).
With very low impedance meas-
urement objects, short circuit the
measurement probes fora short
time before measurement. We rec-
ommend using relative value
measurement: Short circuit the
measurement probes and press
“REL”. Now only the difference, i.e.
measured value just for the compo-
nent will be displayed.
With very highly resistive meas-
urement objects (>1 MΩ) it is nor-
mal that the measuring instrument
requires a number of seconds to
display a stable measured value.
WARNING
Switch off the voltage in the test circuit and discharge all the capaci-
tors present there. Voltages in the test circuit falsify the measure-
ment result and can destroy the measuring instrument. Remove the
measurement probes from the measurement object and disconnect
the test leads from the measuring instrument after every measure-
ment.
